Long Handled

Longerhandled brushes tend to be for artists who like to step back from their artwork and may grip the brush further down the handle. Most Oil & Acrylic brushes will be long handled. Typically detail brushes will be shorthandled, so some oil and acrylic painters will find themselves using long handled brushes for the bulk of their painting with a handful of shorthandled detail brushes. It really depends on the artist, the size of the painting and the amount of detail required.
