Natural Bristles

Goat Hair brushes hold quite a bit of water and are ideal for large area washes, sumi ink and encaustic painting (since the bristles won't scorch).

Kolinsky Sable brushes are ideal for watercolourists. Made from weasel hair, Kolinsky Sable round brushes form a beautifully long fine point while the belly of the brush holds a lot of water. This results in a brush that can be used to as a larger round or a detailed brush depending on the pressure applied.

Natural Synthetic Blend brushes are meant to emulate the Kolinsky Sable brushes without the higher price tag. Made from synthetic bristles and red sable hair, these brushes will hold a fair amount of water and come to a longer point than synthetic counterparts.

Bamboo Brushes, made from natural brown goat and horse hair these brushes don't come to a perfect point, but do hold a great deal of fluid ideal for traditional Sumi ink painting.
